City-Wide

With your support, MKE will soon have its own Complete Streets Policy!

Complete Streets are streets for everyone. They are designed to be safe and easy for all people to use, whether they are walking, biking, driving, or take transit. Many cities across the country are pursuing Complete Streets policies. Complete Streets connect communities and allow people to safely share the road with cars and trucks. This means that every transportation project will make our streets better and safer for drivers, transit users, pedestrian, and bicyclists-making Milwaukee a better place to live.

The goal is that we produce a policy that helps our streets be safer, allows the needs of all street network users be considered when designing streets, is focused on improvements in the areas that can benefit the most, and that passes Common Council in July!
